Hello Everybody!!
So once again I've kind of forgotten to update my blog in about 6 weeks or so.... oops... But in my defense not much really has been happening! For the past 6 weeks I've been in prac, I wake up early, I go to school, I get home, Plan a little bit, Go to bed early and then do it all over again the next day!
I just finished my prac in a grade 5 classroom and the last time I left you we had just gone to our orientation day - I absolutley loved my time at Pacific Lutheran! I was in a grade 5 class and I can't say enough good things about the prac, my mentor teacher, the kids everything was just awesome!
I had an amazing experince and I even have the opportunity to go to camp with them in August so I'll be getting some volunteer hours in and some great experience! I also get to see the kids and the staff again - which I'm really looking forward to. After 10 weeks of class I was seriously considering a new career - after 6 weeks of prac I can't wait to be a teacher - in fact I wish I could just be a teacher now!
Anyway now that I'm on holidays it's time for another amazing adventure! At 6pm tonight my shuttle will be picking me up and taking me to the airport where I will be flying to Darwin, which is the very top centre of Australia. Me and a couple of friends are taking two weeks to travel from Darwin to the very bottom of Australia to Adelaide. The adventure is filled with camping, sunsets, sunrises, beautiful national parks and rainforests, 4-wheeling in the desert, winery tours, you name it we're pretty much covering! It's going to be amazing and I can't wait to leave - only 6 more hours to go!! I just hope in the meantime I don't get eaten by snakes, spiders the size of me, lizards, dingos, or anything else that I don't want to run into in the outback...
