We boarded our plane and headed to the Whitsunday’s and then bussed to Arlie Beach. We checked into the hostel and got some Hog’s Breath for lunch. After lunch we vegged out in the hostel where we napped, read or whatever for a while. We then headed to the hostel bar for our complimentary drinks and dinner where we stayed for the remainder of the night playing cards. Unfortunately no random people joined us this time
And that brings us to Tuesday…. We grabbed some brekky, checked into the boat and hit the beach (aka lagoon) for the rest of the day. Literally, the rest of the day – I think we spent 4-5 hours on the beach we didn’t move at all. Well we only moved when we need to switch sides, or pee, or jump in the pool for a cool down. At about 5 we decided to head out and get some food – we decided on Greek. After dinner we headed back to the hostel to re-pack our bags (because we were only allowed small little black bags – like grocery bags - on the boat) so we did that put our other luggage in storage and waited for the bus – which was picking us up around 6:40pm. The bus finally came and dropped us off at the Marina – where we got on our boat the ‘Solway Lass’, met our crew and departed. We were heading about three hours out and then anchoring. It was dark so it was hard to see anything but we were all so excited to be on the boat. After we had reached our destination we anchored and called it a night – it’s amazing what lying on a beach all aft will take out of you….
