Sunshine Coast - so Far!

Hey all - so here is the rest of the update - from when I left you last!

Once I got to the Sunshine Coast - I went to the office signed all of my papers and found my apartment! I was probably in there for about 5 minutes or so debating on whether I should unpack my things or not - and then there was a knock on the door! My friend Stephanie from Brock, came to say hello. Her and a friend she had met on the shuttle on the way here were going to the mall... so instead of unpacking I headed to the mall with them.. We had to pay $4.60 for one way bus fare! Just along with everything else that is super super expensive! Anyway the next couple of days have been kind of the same just going to the mall getting some groceries here and there, bedding, opening up a bank account all of the essential things that I need to get done when I'm down here... Yesterday we headed to the school and got our student cards and got some stuff done there - we figured we would get that stuff done before the big rush of students that'll be there next week... On our adventures on campus - we saw kangaroos!! It was awesome they were just hanging out in the rugby fields no big deal!! This time I managed to get pictures!!

They just sat there and stared at us... they were far enough away - but that was ok with me because I hear they can be vicious so I didn't want to get too close - Either way they were awesome! So yesterday (Monday) I finally decided to unpack and get organized. One of my roomates (Amy) moved in too... So as I was unpacking I was startled by a big black thing that ran across the floor of my bedroom - yep it was a cockroach.... I get Amy and we go on a mission to hunt, catch and kill this thing... We (aka Amy) managed to catch it and we killed it outside.. however it worries me that there are more... soooo now I'm on my toes at all times! Heebie Geebies!! Anyway nothing too exciting is happening right now - just finishing getting organized and unpacked and what not and waiting for school to start! Orientation week starts on monday and school starts the following monday - so there should be more exciting updates then! I'll keep ya posted though - hopefully i'll manage to get down to the beach at some point soon!!
